How to Visualize Dado Distances Like a Pro with SketchList3D

Cabinet design software makes it easy to create custom woodworking designs for your projects. However, sometimes it can be challenging to visualize the distances between dadoes on your project. Fortunately, there is a simple solution to this problem.

Using SketchList 3D, you can easily show the distances between dadoes on a report or drawing. Here’s how:

Step 1: Insert the Board into Your Design

First, insert the board into your cabinet design. This board will be used to show the location of the dadoes.

Enter into Dimensioning Mode

Next, enter into the dimensioning mode. This will allow you to click on the points that form the two ends of the distance you want to measure.

Step 3: Measure the Distance

Click on the two points where you want to measure the distance. SketchList 3D will show you the distance between these two points.

A man with a drill in his hand, wearing a light green glove, is drilling a hole in a piece of light brown wood that is on the floor.

Step 4: Print the Image

Finally, print the image with the dimensions. This will give you a clear view of the distances between dadoes, which will help you during the building process.
