Woodworking Designs Start with Basics

Just want to reiterate a few things about learning to use our woodwork design software.  As one user said to me on the phone (after saying “I can’t believe I’m really talking to a human at a software company…”) “SketchList 3D is not CAD – it’s something all by itself.  I can design like I work ”

I think by not being CAD two things happen.

First SketchList 3D is much easier to use.  Second you have to adapt your thinking  to designing with 3D boards (objects really) instead of lines, squares and rectangles.

To help you adapt, I put together a video which I think starts from the starting point of our furniture design package.  No – you won’t start with dove tailed drawers (think baby steps and the movie What About Bob).  But you can get there later.

This five minute video is very basic – but it maybe just the thing you need to get used to the basic concepts of SketchList 3D.
