Type of Material

Selecting type is way to sort refine material usage by type.
The other category can be used for metal, glass, leather or cloth.

Name of Material

Type in name.  Remember that Oak 3/4 and Oak 1/2 are better names than 3/4 Oak and 1/2 Oak for sorting purposes.

5. List of Existing Textures or Images
Select the grain image you want to apply to this material.  You can also choose a solid color.

You can select a texture and change the amount of light that will pass through it - turning into glass.
