Checking this box will keep the relationship between height and width constant as you resize the image.  Unchecking this box will allow you to increase the width and height to different values.

 

Changes the background color.  Many times you can enhance the appearance of an object by picking the correct background.  It also help to have contrast like a dark background with a light color material.

You can save your rending to any standard graphics imaging format.
